My inlaws got these for us because Consumer Reports gave them an excellent rating. We liked the weight and overall quality, and loved the fact that they were made without hazardous chemicals. However, after less than 1 month of proper use, the smallest fry pan had lost its nonstick quality and the next size up was wearing too. We returned the pans and got the similarly priced Rachel Ray set instead. It’s been 6 months and the Rachel Ray pans are still in perfect condition.

The Calphalon website says suggested retail price for this set is 9. Not sure where the inflated suggested retail is coming from. I saw a similar note on another Calphalon review – same situation.

My husband who dose a lot of the cooking and I were looking for a new set of pans, he wanted stainless steal and I wanted hard anodized. After weeks of dickering he finally gave in and we got the Rachel Ray hard anodized. Now he says he is spoiled and dose not want any other type of pan. (Only hard anodized.) So we also bought an Anolon Advanced Hard-Anodized Aluminum 8-Quart Oval Pasta Pot with lid . This pan is a better grade, but the Rachel Ray are Very good and the price is great. So far we are happy with them. In all fairness though we have only had them a short time. But we do love the set so far.

I really needed some pots and pans- so I researched stainless steel and non-stick. I definitely did not want to worry about some of the scary side effects of Teflon, so it was either hard anodized or stainless steel. I ended up going with this set, and they are AMAZING. The best set of pots/pans I have ever used. I’ve had this set for a year and a half, and they are incredibly durable. I love the rubber on the handles of the pots, and also on the lids. These are NOT dishwasher safe, but it is totally worth it to me, so have such great, durable cookware. Very easy to clean by hand, and things don’t really stick to them either, so I am thrilled with this, and will definitely buy from this company in the future.
